Late Payment ‘Awards’: The most bizarre excuses ever received
14/01/2020
Awards season is now in full swing.
Throughout January and February there’s the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs to recognise excellence in the TV and film industry.
Then there’s the Grammys and the BRIT awards to acknowledge achievements in the music industry.
So we thought we’d host an ‘awards’ ceremony of our own: The Late Payment Awards.
Whilst late payment isn’t something to celebrate and is no laughing matter, we think it’s time to look at the most bizarre and often downright annoying late payment excuses received.
We’d like to invite you to share the most ridiculous late payment excuses you’ve ever heard.
In the past, we’ve heard bizarre excuses such as “my puppy ate my chequebook” and “God doesn’t want me to pay the rent”. Yes, really.
But do you think you’ve heard better?
Simply comment below (we’re also accepting responses via our posts on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn) and we’ll publish the best in our newsletter.
