North Notts Blinds, a manufacturer of made-to-measure blinds, approached us having had limited success with another agency whose communication was poor, with weeks often passing without an update.
Add to this the fact that some debts had been with that particular agency for more than 12 months without being collected, it became clear that Director, Steve O’Donnell, had to act.
Upon instruction, our collections team began to formulate and execute a suitable collections strategy that catered for the fact that the majority of these debts were significantly aged and often owed by one-man bands, who were personally liable for them.
Liaising closely with Mr O’Donnell, we soon achieved results, varying our approach to suit the circumstances surrounding each of North Notts Blinds’ customers to maximum effect. For instance, whilst some needed a simple phone call, others required County Court Judgments to be lodged, which resulted in suitable payment plans being implemented that met our client’s requirements.
In one instance, a debt that had been with the previous collections agency for more than a year was collected in full inside three weeks.
